VIETNAM TRIPS & SUPPORTERS
September 2006: Our first trip to Vietnam gave us the opportunity to meet with Humanitarian Support Company (HSC) and the organization they help support, Vietnam Aid Society for Disabled Children (VASDC). That first meeting has led to many interesting things. At that time we were invited to do a presentation for government ministries, hosted by Petrolimex. The outcome of the meeting was strong desire to see our project in Vietnam and the beginning of government cooperation to that end. Since then, we have received responses from ministries letting us know how to proceed, and have been working with VASDC and HSC to determine how to fund the construction of the Community and the Medical Clinic. Our Vietnam colleagues have since met with the President of Vietnam and other officials who are watching our progress. Photos of our 2006, first trip to Vietnam
November 2007: This year we returned to find tremendous progress and support that has been made by our supporters in Vietnam. New relationships have been made, land has been committed, and the project is moving forward.
